Love Questacon but don't have time to plan an excursion? If you're in the ACT or surrounding region, we'll come to you!

There’s no excursion form or bus hire to worry about when our theatre troupe, The Excited Particles, visits your school to present an hour of science and fun.

The Q2U program will engage and inspire students by providing fascinating science shows with exciting demonstrations and experiments—all without leaving school grounds.

Who's it for?

We can present shows suitable for pre-schoolers right through to high school students. Just let us know what grades you have. We're able to get to most schools in the ACT or surrounding region.

For younger students, you could ask for an hour with Mutty the Muttaburrasaurus. Mutty will perform a story and host a fun dinosaur themed session. (Mutty, by the way, is a puppet. He's a bit sensitive about that though so shhh... don't tell!)

Science Time Q2U - For Early Childhood Students

Looking for a more hands-on science experience for younger children? Then Science Time Q2U is for you!

Science Time Q2U is for small groups (maximum 25 students) and a session runs for about 45 minutes. Sessions involve a short presentation by one of our performers, followed by scientific hands-on activities for the children. In addition, we leave craft activities and colouring sheets for the students to complete in their own time, as well as an information sheet for the teachers.

Science Time Q2U covers a range of topics, including animals, rockets and space, water, dinosaurs, the human body, volcanoes and more.

How much does it cost?

Q2U shows cost $7 per student, with a minimum charge of $420.

Puppet Shows and Science Time Q2Us cost $600 for the first session in a day, and $200 for each session thereafter.

• Your school’s name
• A contact phone number and email address
• How many students you have and their year level
• An approximate date and time you would like us to visit
• Which show you would like to see

We can finalise your booking from there. If you are unsure of any details we will be happy to discuss them with you.
